Backpacking Basics is a class for ANYONE interested in learning more about:
• Being prepared for day hiking or multi-day trekking
• How to plan for a successful hike or multi-day trek- research, maps, communication, considerations
• What to pack/what to leave- gear lists and recommendations
• How to eat healthy and hydrated- food, snacks, and water
• Knowing how to hike with respect- trail etiquette, leave no trace, and ethics
• Getting fit to trek- how to train to stay healthy and safe on trail
• Integrating Yoga & Mindfulness on trail- making the most of your adventure
